Barn House

Upstate, New York | 2021 | 2100 SF | Schematic Design

The barn house takes the idea of a traditional barn structure and transforms it into a modern living environment with two-story open living and working space. The secondary bar intersects with the primary bar and creates bedrooms on the upper floor. The wood slat screen wraps around the entire building from roof to walls to form a continuous envelop. Large window walls anchors at the both ends of the building.  The two intersecting bars generate various interesting visual connections throughout the interior space.
