BioBAT Tenant Improvement

BioBAT is a partnership created by the Research Foundation for SUNY, on behalf of Downstate Health Sciences University, and the New York City Economic Development Corporation. BioBAT has transformed the southern end of Building A at Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park Brooklyn into a flexible laboratory space for research and manufacturing. With growing needs for lab space after the Covid-19 pandemic, BioBAT plans to expand its lab-ready space on the second floor of Building A. We designed the enclosure of the tenant space and improvement to the common corridors. The tenant space is provided with large windows facing Upper New York Bay. Continuous linear lighting is added to the enclosure walls to brighten the interior corridors. New mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructures are installed to meet any needs of future tenants.
